Verdigris consist of three corroded copper sheets. Each sheet is screen printed with text from a song that I learned while studying plants in the Amazon in Peru. Interested in the spaces words build and demolish, these corroded sheets explore the spaces that inhabit our bodies at different depths. We access them through the memory strada between the self and the world. Documenting and and listing all of the properties of the text: the textural materials, sound, and scent.
